everybodys free to get trashed

I went and a brilliant show last night by Kamahi Djordon King as his alter ego Constantina Bush. Fantastic melding of the personal and political, of drag and Aboriginal culture and kickass songs! Her rendition of Single Ladies bought the house down.

The venue it was at is run by a friend of mine, and has a tradition of letting audience and performers stay long after the show and party. Which is why i found myself agreeing at 1.30am after copious amounts of champers and dope, that yes indeed going out clubbing was an excellent idea!

Also you must all go and read the hilarious and truthy Everyboy's free (to be fannish) by the brilliant errant_jane. I want all of it on a t-shirt. Can someone do that? At least this:

Enjoy the power and freedom of your fannish persona. Oh, never mind. You will not understand the power and freedom of your fannish persona until real life causes you to take a fandom hiatus. But trust me, in the middle of RL bullshit, you'll look back at your post-episode reactions and recall in a way you can't grasp now how much fun you really had.</blcokquote>

although I think "Bitchy Old Fandom Queen" and "crazy-ass wanky fangirl" would be big sellers.

It's based on that song from the late 90s Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen). I must also mention the classic piss take version by Aussie John Safran
